The following information is useful if
you need to be more successful with searching the internet.
Search Tips:

Make your search phrases 2 or 3
words

Don't use the words like "in" or
"and"
-
If you want to find an exact
phrase type the search term / phrase inside inverted commas e.g.
"mcse training"
Questions and Answers
Q I would
like to find out how many links there are to my site.
A You can generally check the links to a site by typing the command
link:www.sitename.com (replace sitename.com with your url). This
works on most of the search engines. Note that not all search
engines will give you the same results.
Q I would
like to find my local search engines
A Type the search string "search engine ireland" (replace ireland
with your country)
Q I want to
find images. Is there a quick way?
A Yes, go to Google home page and choose the Images option. Then
type in the name of the picture you are searching for.
Q I want to
be able to search without launching Google each time
A Download the Google Toolbar. Go to Google and type in a search for
Google toolbar and you will be given a link that will take you to an
installation page
